Prior to their presentation, 4th grade students Sir Paul Jackson, Addison Scricklin, Emme Walker, and Chelsey Dixon share the story behind their presentation and how it along with attending NSBE SEEK Camp helps encourage and prepare them for the future. All classes are instructed to brainstorm skit ideas to perform in under five minutes that amuses and inform the judges of the product they are presenting and why their particular design should be chosen above the other students. This group of students had the idea to auction off their gravity cruisers to their audience. They worked together on creativity and incorporated crafty props and scripts to catch the judges' eye. The students said that building the cruisers was enjoyable and a bit challenging, however, they feel it’s important to be challenged because it helps them learn new things and creates better opportunities for the world. In the future, they all plan to be involved in different fields of Engineering such as Math Engineering, Cosmetics Engineering, and Health Engineering. In order to achieve their goals they plan to make straight A’s which will help them get scholarships for college. The students loves the learning opportunity and wishes to further their experience other camps in the future similar.
